According to Wikipedia, Affiliate marketing is a type of performance based marketing in which a business rewards a certain percentage of commission for each product bought by the customers who are brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts. In simple words, if you promote a product or a e-commerce website and a visitor clicks on that promotional advertisement and buys a product then you get some commission because you promoted that product or a e-commerce site.

It is suitable for those people who know how to promote a product online using social media, websites, advertisements, videos ,and have the ability to persuade.
TIME REQUIRED FOR STARTING AFFILIATE MARKETING:-
Honestly speaking, you can start affiliate marketing within an hour. You just need a platform to start it and in my previous post “ create a website” I have discussed about affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing can also be done on social media. You just need to select an online product that pays a commission when you promote and sell it using your affiliate link.
HOW TO MONETIZE:-
Now comes the main point, how will I earn money by doing affiliate marketing.
So, I am going to tell you some tips so that you can earn money by doing affiliate marketing.
- First, select an online product from the domain in which you have interest and you can promote it easily. For example, if you are dietician then select a product related to diet. Remember, always choose a product in which you are well conversant with.
- There are lots of products available in market you just need to choose your domain in which you are comfortable.
- Websites to find products which are suitable for you:-
- These websites have thousands of products listed from multiple domains. You can easily find your domain and start doing affiliate marketing.
- You have to choose a product that pays you atleast 40-50 percent commission on each sale.
- Most product websites handle affiliate link generation and payouts so you don’t need to worry about how you will get your commissions.
- What you have to do is just get your affiliate link created by vendor and start promoting it.
- If you want to earn instant money from affiliate marketing then try to promote your affiliate link on social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon, and Reddit.
- Or if you want the most easy way to earn money then what you have to do is just create a website, apply for google AdSense and then give ads of product websites like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra etc. Promote these websites, if a visitor comes to your site and clicks on your ad and then buys a product then, product website gives you commission for that.
- Monetization is simple, just make more people buy the product through your affiliate link. You have to create a Facebook page or make banner ads about the product, by this more people will come to know about your product.
- You have to tell your audience how that product will solve their problems and how will it make their life easier. Improve people’s knowledge about the domain and help them to solve related problems.
